A quick easy to use reference for those just wanting to exercise

Hey there. If you have stumbled upon this blog looking for tips and pointers on the P90X exercise routines then welcome.

Like many of you just starting out, I too wanted to lose weight, be stronger, feel better, and fit in my clothes easier. It was a friend of mine who introduced me to P90X and what the possibilities of training with these videos could be.

We started with the simple workout plan that is given in the supplementary documents for the program, and it was great! Due to our schedules and the climate we lived it, we would modify some of the routines to match or limit it to 4 or 5 days a week if it was too much. As time progressed I started to notice my strength improve and that I could complete the entire set of workouts without being completely exhausted.

The more I used the P90X program the more people would tell me how they wish they could too but felt they weren't ready or not capable for a multitude of reasons. I would explain that anyone can use the exercise videos and everyone can benefit from the exercises but they just have to try.

The biggest road blocks or excuses for most people were, they didn't think they were fit enough or strong enough to start P90X. Some would say they hadn't exercised in such a long time and felt they weren't ready to jump into training so hard as they saw in the videos. That's where I would tell them they were wrong.

The point of the videos is to get more fit so you can do more things in the world around you. You don't start off being like the people in the videos but if you work toward your goals, you will be very similar to them and able to do things you didn't think possible.

I used this along with a guide I created to help them get the most out of the videos and their exercise routines. The idea being to start training and continue even when they were tired, exhausted, or just didn't have time. And now, i'm sharing these with all of you.

The two pdf's are free to download and use as you see fit. The first is just a sample of the full length document.  The second pdf is the entire document giving a detailed breakdown of each video including; the warm-up, exercise routines, times, and cool-down sections. At the end of which is an appendix listing only the exercise routines and times for each P90X video.

I've bookmarked each section so you can simply jump to whatever video you are on and if you desire to load it onto your iPhone, iPad, or whatever you can skip to the appendix and just do each exercise for the listed number of reps or time as indicated. This is especially helpful if you are at the gym or traveling and want to complete a training circuit but don't have the videos with you.
I truly hope these tips and pointers help you in your training and keep you moving toward your goals. Just remember, we all start from the beginning and eventually reach an end but it's the journey in between where we get to practice, play, and grow. Go have fun on your journey!
